  • Slider Assembly: 12 soft slider buns or dinner rolls, 250 g (about 9 oz) sliced cooked ham, 150 g (about 5 oz) sliced Swiss or cheddar cheese, 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional), 2 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard (optional)
  • Topping: 50 g (3.5 tbsp) unsalted butter melted, 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional), ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, Pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) Lightly grease a 23x33 cm (9x13-inch) baking dish
Step 2:
Slice the slider buns horizontally keeping the tops and bottoms intact Place the bottom halves in the baking dish
Step 3:
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the buns if using Layer half the cheese then all the ham then the remaining cheese over the buns
Step 4:
Place the bun tops over the layers
Step 5:
In a small bowl mix the melted butter honey or brown sugar Worcestershire sauce poppy seeds garlic powder onion powder and salt
Step 6:
Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders
Step 7:
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is melted
Step 8:
Cut and serve warm
