07 - 12 ounces angel hair pasta

10 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus additional for serving

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss broccoli florets and whole garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer on the baking sheet.
03 - Roast broccoli and garlic for 18 to 20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until broccoli is tender with light char and garlic is soft and golden.
04 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
05 - Transfer roasted garlic cloves to a cutting board and mash them with a fork until smooth.
06 - In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the mashed garlic, roasted broccoli, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Add the cooked pasta and toss thoroughly.
07 - Pour in lemon juice and add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the mixture. Stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy and well combined.
08 - Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or additional lemon juice as desired. Serve immediately garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
