# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're the kind of frozen treat that feels fancy but comes together in fifteen minutes of actual work.
  • That first bite where the sweet strawberry breaks through the creamy matcha layer hits different every single time.
02 -
  • The strawberry layer MUST be completely frozen before the matcha layer goes on top, or they'll blend into a muddy purple instead of creating that satisfying two-tone moment.
  • If your matcha tastes bitter or grainy, it's because the water was too hot—matcha needs a whisper of warmth, not a shout.
03 -
  • Buy your matcha from a specialty store or reputable online source—it's the difference between tasting like grass clippings and tasting like a whisper of green tea.
  • Cold strawberries make for easier blending, so don't skip chilling them first if you're making these on a warm day.
