# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
02 - Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract into the creamed mixture, mixing until fully combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
04 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined without overmixing.
05 - Divide the dough into two halves, flatten each into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
