02 - 4 oz fresh goat cheese (chèvre)
03 - 8 slices thin-cut bacon, halved crosswise

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Using a small knife, make a lengthwise slit in each date and remove the pit if necessary.
03 - Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese, pressing gently to enclose the filling.
04 - Wrap each stuffed date with a half-slice of bacon, securing the ends underneath or with a toothpick if needed.
05 - Place the wrapped dates seam-side down on the lined baking sheet.
06 - Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the bacon is crisp and browned.
