→ Oil & Seasonings

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
03 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2 minutes.
02 - Stack the tortillas and cut each into 6 wedges, forming chip-sized triangles.
03 - Place tortilla wedges in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt, smoked paprika, and ground cumin. Toss until evenly coated.
04 - Spread chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
05 - Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until chips are crisp and lightly golden.
06 - Transfer the chips to a wire rack or paper towel to cool; they will continue to crisp as they cool.
07 - Serve with salsa, guacamole, or your preferred dip.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Theyre ridiculously quick and you can make them while prepping something else without breaking a sweat.
  • You control the salt and seasoning so they taste exactly how you want every single time.
  • Theyre so much lighter than fried chips but still have that addictive crunch that keeps you reaching back into the bowl.
02 -
  • Dont skip the shaking step halfway through or youll end up with some chips that are burnt on one side and pale on the other.
  • If your tortillas are a little stale or dry, mist them lightly with water before cutting and theyll crisp instead of turning hard and bitter.
03 -
  • Use a light hand with the oil, too much will make them greasy instead of crisp, and a quick drizzle is really all you need.
  • If youre making multiple batches, keep the finished chips warm in a low oven while you finish the rest so everything stays hot and crunchy.
